What a parametric wall generator does

A parametric wall generator builds the wall from numbers instead of drawn lines. You never draw forty slats: you set the wall size, the wave shape and the spacing, and the geometry is rebuilt from those values every time one of them changes. Change the wall width and the slats, the cut sheets and the G-code all update together. That is the difference from a downloaded DXF, which only fits the exact size it was drawn at — and from general CAD, where every change means redrawing.

From parameters to a cutting file

Generating the shape is only half the job. The wall is sliced into numbered slats, nested onto your sheet size with tool-diameter clearances, and exported as DXF or SVG with separate cut and engrave layers, STL and OBJ meshes, editable STEP solids, or ready-to-run GRBL and Mach3 G-code with cutter radius compensation and holding tabs. A built-in simulator replays the exact file at real feed rates, so the toolpath is checked before a sheet goes on the bed.

Common questions

What does “parametric” actually mean here?

It means the wall is defined by numbers, not by drawn lines. You do not draw 40 slats — you set the wall size, the wave shape and the spacing, and the geometry is rebuilt from those values. Change one number and the whole wall, its cut sheets and its G-code update together. That is why a parametric generator can fit any wall size, while a downloaded DXF only fits the size it was drawn at.

Do I need CAD skills to use it?

No. The parameters are sliders and numbers, and the 3D preview updates as you move them. If you would rather not touch parameters at all, describe the wall in plain language — “soft ocean waves in light oak” — and the AI design assistant sets them for you.

Can it generate a wall that is not a rectangle?

Yes. The outline can be an arch, a pebble, a free-drawn Bézier shape, an imported SVG, or a shape traced from a photo. The relief stays independent of the outline, so the two can be changed separately.
