Plywood
Baltic birch plywood exposes elegant layered stripes on every carved contour — the signature look of parametric furniture. Strong, light and stable, it is the best all-rounder for wave walls.
Why choose it

Finishing and mounting
The layered edge is the feature — leave it visible. A clear matt finish on a birch ply edge reads as deliberate; painting it hides the one thing that distinguishes plywood from MDF.
Voids are the risk. Cheap plywood hides gaps inside the core that only appear once you machine through, and they cannot be filled convincingly on a visible edge. Buy Baltic birch or a rated void-free grade for anything where the edge shows.
Face veneer is thin — often under 1 mm. Sand gently and never aggressively at the corners, or you will cut through to the darker layer beneath, which no finish will hide.
