Bamboo

Bamboo panels combine an eco-friendly story with a distinctive fine linear grain. Very hard and stable, they suit contemporary interiors and high-traffic commercial spaces.

Why choose it

CNC machining (Ø6 mm bit, indicative)

Indicative speeds: always validate on an offcut.

Finishing and mounting

Bamboo is denser and more abrasive than it looks — it dulls bits noticeably faster than oak. Budget for a fresh cutter on a full wall, and expect a slightly slower feed than the hardness alone would suggest.

The adhesive lines between strips are visible and part of the look. Vertical (side-pressed) shows fine lines, horizontal (flat-pressed) shows the characteristic node pattern — choose before cutting, because it defines the finished wall far more than any coating will.

It is dimensionally very stable, which makes it a good choice for a bathroom or a room with underfloor heating where solid oak would move. A simple oil finish is enough; bamboo does not need the protection a softwood does.
